    DocForge 2.0.0

    DocForge 2.0.0 gives DocForge2 an unambiguous distribution and runtime identity. It preserves the complete DocForge 1.4 adapter, retrieval, projection, recovery, migration, and compatibility platform while adding explicit cross-identity proposal acceptance for project-owned canonical appliers.

    Compatibility

    The docforge distribution and Python package, CLI and MCP names, generic and project-owned adapters, descriptor and result schemas, exact-hash changesets, rendering surfaces, and disposable index contracts remain supported. The 2.0.0 identity does not change descriptor, result, adapter, or index schema versions.

    Same-identity application remains the default. Additional proposal writers must be explicitly accepted by a project-owned canonical applier. Contributor processes receive no application tool, and successful receipts identify both the proposal creator and applier.

    Publication

    The release attaches the reproducible wheel, source distribution, machine-readable release-identity evidence with exact SHA-256 checksums, and anonymous fresh-clone evidence. PyPI publication and production binding changes are not part of this release.
